We sat down with Taylor Jordan, Director of Crest Pro, to talk about the company’s ethos, the breadth of services it provides, and how its specialist handover and high-access cleaning teams recently helped deliver a large-scale development project ahead of schedule.
Q: Taylor, for readers who might not know Crest Pro, can you give us an overview of the business?
Absolutely. Crest Pro provides specialist cleaning, access, and restoration solutions across a wide range of sectors, including corporate environments, healthcare, retail, leisure, education, and property management.
We like to say we handle the toughest cleaning tasks so our customers can focus on what they do best. For some, that is routine maintenance and window cleaning. For others, it is high-access façade cleaning, waste clearance, or even disaster recovery. And because cleaning challenges do not stick to office hours, we operate a 24/7 helpdesk. Our clients know they can always reach us.
Q: What makes Crest Pro different from other cleaning and access companies?
It is the combination of range and expertise. We cover the full spectrum from day-to-day cleaning through to complex, technical, or urgent projects. That means our clients get complete peace of mind.
Whether it is hundreds of apartments needing to be handover-ready, a high-rise façade requiring safe access solutions, or a retail space that needs to be restored after flooding, we have the people, the systems, and the dedication to deliver.
Q: Can you talk us through a recent large project where Crest Pro’s specialist skills came into play?
Yes. We were appointed on a major residential development made up of several high-rise blocks and hundreds of new apartments. The client needed a partner who could deliver both full internal sparkle cleans and external façade and window cleaning within a very tight handover programme.
The scope required us to mobilise a large, CSCS-certified team in a matter of days, work closely with the client’s handover schedule, and ensure that apartments and communal areas were presented to a showroom-ready standard.
Q: How did you approach the handover cleaning?
Handover cleaning is one of our core specialisms. It is about going beyond a surface-level clean to achieve a finish that looks perfect under the closest inspection, whether that is by the client, a buyer, or during marketing photography.
On this project, we deployed a 20-person CSCS team, supported by supervisors and an on-site manager who coordinated with the client daily. Attention to detail was everything. We removed limescale from glass and frames, eliminated dust from difficult corners, and ensured every surface was ready to make the best possible first impression.
Q: And what about the high-access cleaning?
With tower blocks reaching high-storey levels, external cleaning was a critical part of the job. We used our IRATA-certified rope access technicians for the façades and windows, supported by hydraulic platforms and reach-and-wash systems.
There was one block where existing anchors could not be used, which could have caused significant delays. Instead, our team adapted quickly by installing compliant deadweight anchor systems, which meant the abseil work could continue safely and efficiently without holding up the programme.
Q: How did you address the deadline challenges?
It really came down to rapid mobilisation and tight coordination. We had less than a week to get started, so our ability to quote, plan, and have boots on the ground quickly was absolutely key.
From there, we worked in line with the client’s handover priorities, delivering the areas they needed most urgently first. Thanks to that coordination, we actually completed the full scope ahead of schedule and even provided additional staff towards the end to support the client through to final completion.
