SEE Services is leading the delivery and maintenance of charging infrastructure across the ambulance service’s estate, with responsibility for more than 700 connectors and specialist fleet energy technology from Optimo Energy.

October 26th 2027 - London Ambulance Service NHS Trust (LAS) has selected SEE Services to deliver a major electric vehicle charging infrastructure programme across its estate, supporting the continued expansion of its electric emergency response fleet.

Through its specialist EV charging division, SEE-V, SEE Services is responsible for more than 700 charging connectors across the LAS estate, encompassing new installations, existing charging assets and ongoing physical maintenance.

Awarded in January 2026, the programme included a three-month delivery window for installation works across 18 turnkey sites, involving 18 substations.

Delivering charging infrastructure across an operational ambulance service estate requires more than the installation of charging equipment. Each location has its own electrical capacity, infrastructure requirements and operational demands, while emergency response vehicles must remain available to support frontline services.

SEE’s role encompasses the design, supply, installation and commissioning of new charging facilities, alongside the integration and maintenance of existing equipment. Its engineering and project delivery teams will coordinate the infrastructure works, bringing together electrical installations, charging equipment and site requirements across the programme.

Beyond installation, SEE Services will provide ongoing physical maintenance, including the engineering support needed to investigate and address infrastructure faults. This long-term responsibility is an important part of supporting LAS as its charging estate and electric fleet continue to grow.

“Working with London Ambulance Service means understanding what is at stake. These are vehicles that people depend on in an emergency, and we take our responsibility to deliver and maintain their charging infrastructure seriously,” said Lance Curtis, EV Manager at SEE Services Limited.

“We are proud to have been selected for this programme and to support the NHS. Our role goes well beyond installing chargers. We are bringing together the infrastructure, engineering expertise and ongoing maintenance needed to support LAS across its estate, while working closely with its teams to understand the requirements of an emergency response fleet.”

Bringing infrastructure and intelligent charging operations together

To complement its infrastructure delivery and maintenance capabilities, SEE Services has appointed Optimo Energy as its Fleet Energy Operating System partner.

Optimo will provide the software-based operational layer for the connected charging network, bringing together compatible charging equipment, vehicle energy data and site power management. Its platform will provide real-time monitoring, remote diagnostics and charging control, supported by 24/7/365 operational monitoring and support.

Together, SEE Services and Optimo will coordinate the identification and resolution of charging issues, combining remote operational oversight with on-site engineering and maintenance capabilities from SEE Services.

“SEE Services is delivering the physical infrastructure that LAS needs to support its transition to electric vehicles. Our role is to help make that infrastructure work as part of a connected charging operation,” said Daniel Homoki-Farkas, CEO and Co-founder of Optimo Energy.

“By bringing charging equipment, vehicle energy information and site power management together, we can give LAS greater visibility and control as its electric fleet expands. We are pleased to be working alongside SEE Services on a programme that supports such an essential public service.”

The programme brings together new and existing charging assets from multiple manufacturers, combining infrastructure delivery, ongoing maintenance and intelligent charging operations to support LAS’s evolving fleet requirements.

For SEE Services, the appointment reflects its wider role in helping organisations deliver complex, multi-site infrastructure programmes, combining the technical expertise required to install new assets with the ongoing support needed to maintain them throughout their operational life.
