Industry Insights October 2026: A Day in the Life of a SEE Services Project Manager.

What does project delivery look like when your work takes you across the UK?
SEE Services delivers projects nationwide, supporting UK businesses with complex estates from initial planning and coordination through to delivery and completion. Behind every project is a team of experienced people with the technical expertise and practical knowledge to make it happen.
Our Project Managers are at the heart of that delivery. They work closely with clients, coordinate our technical teams and stay involved throughout the project, making sure everyone understands what needs to be done and that the work stays on track.
So, what does that actually look like day to day?
For one of our Project Managers, it recently meant travelling to Greenock in Scotland to visit three primary schools where SEE Services is delivering an LED lighting replacement project for Inverclyde Council.
Take a look at the video above to follow the journey and get a glimpse into what a day on the road looks like for a SEE Project Manager.
Project Overview
The project involves replacing 1,050 lighting fittings across three primary schools, with a team of seven electricians carrying out the work during the summer holidays.
Valued at approximately £125,000, the programme was delivered in four weeks. With all three schools located within a mile of each other, the team was able to coordinate the works across the sites while working within a tight timeframe. Additional works requested by the client were also incorporated into the programme.
For our Project Manager, regular visits to each school were an important part of the job. Weekly progress reviews provided the opportunity to meet with the client, check progress and discuss any changes, while making sure the team on site had what it needed.
It is a hands-on role that relies on having the right people with the right experience. Our Project Managers work closely with clients and our technical teams throughout a project, bringing together the practical and technical expertise needed to deliver the work.
Nationwide delivery means being there
When you deliver projects across the UK, being on site is an important part of the job. Our Project Managers travel wherever they are needed, working closely with clients and delivery teams to keep projects moving.
For SEE Services, nationwide delivery means having the people, technical expertise and experience to support clients wherever their projects take them. Whether that is Scotland, the North of England, Wales or the South of England, from major cities to small towns, our teams are there to manage the detail and see the project through from planning to completion.
The people behind nationwide delivery
Delivering projects across the UK requires more than geographical coverage. It requires experienced people who understand the work, can coordinate different teams and are prepared to take responsibility for delivery.
From the Project Manager overseeing the programme to the electricians carrying out the installation, our people bring the knowledge and experience needed to deliver work for clients across complex estates. That is what allows SEE Services to provide consistent project delivery, wherever our clients need us.
