Estimator

Division:  SEE Rail

Location:  London, Home Counties, South East  

Due to our growing business, we are looking for an Estimator to join our team based in Hainault. The type of projects you shall be estimating are ‘small works”. This means you shall be working on a large number of projects and they shall need to be completed within a short time frame.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Provide estimating and pricing support

  • Preparing timely and accurate quotations based on contract customer requirements;

  • Prepare presentation packs for tenders’ submissions;

  • Working closely with management to develop new ways of working for solving problems and improving the customer journey and experience;

  • Working with numerous internal teams to resolve various issues in a timely manner;

  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Regulations.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

 

  • Ideally you will have a General Building background i.e. Building, Refurb, Brickwork, Painting & Decorating with around           5 years’ experience. 

  • Degree/HNC in Construction/Building or equivalent (comparable experience considered)

  • Working knowledge of schedule of rates;

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills;

  • Sufficient Building experience;

  • Ambitious with high aspirations;

  • Excellent numerate skills;

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills;

  • Proficient in the use of IT platforms, Outlook, Word, Excel;

  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads.
